The DIY face mask for surfers!

This simple skincare technique could be your saviour to hydrate and nourish your skin!

Whether it’s summer or winter, our skin really takes its toll, therefore, it’s time to up your skincare game!

As a surfer or an ocean lover, you’ll experience this more because you’re going in and out of the water consistently resulting in you being exposed to all the elements. Unfortunately, as much as it feels amazing to having an all year round face tan, this isn’t always the best case for our skin.

But fear no more!

We’ve tried and tested the easiest DIY face mask to bring your skin back to life, leaving you with a gorgeous healthy glow without having to leave the comfort of your own home. WIN-WIN!

We present to you the DIY face mask for surfers!


– 1/2 an Avocado.🥑⁠

– 1 tablespoon of honey.🍯⁠

– A handful of oats or oat bran.🥣⁠


My first word of advice is to try and not to eat the ingredients because they’ll work much better all over your face.

Above all, honey is an excellent humectant. Honey helps the skin retain moisture without feeling oily but that’s not all, if you massage honey onto the affected areas, it will also help with the appearance of scars and increase both healing and tissue regeneration.⁠

The oats also have healing and moisturising properties too, they’re brilliant at nourishing, calming and soothing skin.

And thanks to the ultra-nourishing oils, the addition of mashed avocado will banish any roughness, leaving your skin silky smooth.⁠

1. Firstly and most importantly, take the skin off the avocado.  After that, simply pop all three ingredients into a bowl so you can give it a good stir.

3. The next step is to apply the paste to your face using either your hands or the back of a wooden spoon.

4. Then leave it on for 15 minutes and try not to lick it.

5. Finally, wash it off your face gently using warm water and pat your face try with a clean towel.
