WHAT’S NEW FOR WOMEN + WAVES IN 2021?
With 2021 just around the corner Women + Waves are stoked for the upcoming year! We’re filling it with new coaching events, more epic locations and extra dates for your favourite weekends. Keep reading to see what’s coming up!
Winter Weekend Game Changer
Winter in Cornwall is epic, we see more consistent swells and quieter beaches!
We’ve listened to your feedback and have switched things up a little for our winter weekends (Nov-April).
As the weather gets colder, we like to make the most out of our water sessions by offering one extra-long surf on the Saturday (instead of two), followed by the usual one session on a Sunday. This means no getting in and out of wet wetsuits (YAY). We’ll also be keeping you extra warm with a hot chocolate and sweet treat break mid way through your Saturday session.
After our surf we’ll then warm-up and do our video analysis session, with even more waves to watch! We’ll also be having surf theory in our warm and cosy venue.

Let’s Go Bodyboarding
We’ve teamed up with our friends at Bodyboard Holidays to bring you an awesome all female bodyboarding event.
Compared to surfing, bodyboarding allows you to get even more up-close-and-personal with the ocean, the sense of speed is
increased as you’re closer to the water, the boards are lighter and it’s super accessible. No matter your ability our events are chock-full of tuition, tips and tailored coaching.

Weekend Fun BUT Mid Week
We want as many women as possible to have access to the ocean, feel the benefits and have an amazing experience with other like minded ladies.
We understand that not everyone is free on the weekends and we don’t want you to miss out, so in 2021 we are bringing you our surf coaching and water women events mid week!
These events will run exactly the same as our weekends but at a more convenient time for you.

We’re Going To Wales
In Autumn 2021 we’re going on a road trip! We’re leaving Newquay for one of our favourite spots, backed by rolling sand dunes and rising green hills, Llangennith is ideal for everyone from beginners to advanced surfers.
If you’re keen to surf uncrowded waves at one of the UK’s most beautiful beaches (who isn’t?!) then join us in Wales for a super-chilled couple of days catching waves, improving your technique
and meeting a bunch of like-minded female surfers in a beautiful part of the world.
September 25th + 26th
Even More Croyde
We’re stoked to announce that we’ll be heading to our favourite Devon wave, and one of the UK’s best surfing locations, twice in 2021.
Our Croyde weekend is jam-packed with expert tuition, including photo and video analysis, so you’ll quickly improve your surfing and build your confidence all whilst being surrounded by some truly beautiful scenery. With the option of joining us for an amazing dinner on Friday and Saturday night, it’ll be a weekend to remember.
