Easy DIY Guide: How to fix a surfboard ding

Blog

Got a ding on your beloved surfboard? No worries! In this video, we’ll guide you through a simple and effective method to fix that ding using Solar Rez.

Step 1:

Make sure your board is completely dry and clean out any sand or dirt from the ding. A clean surface ensures better adhesion for the repair.

Step 2:

Apply Solar Rez directly onto the ding using a piece of card or a plastic scraper. Be sure to avoid getting the resin on your fingers as it can be sticky and hard to remove.

Step 3:

Once you’ve applied the Solar Rez, cover it with cling film or plastic wrap. This not only helps to keep the resin in place but also allows it to set properly. Leave it to dry according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Step 4:

After the Solar Rez has dried completely, your surfboard is ready to hit the waves again! So grab your board and go surf with confidence knowing that your ding is securely repaired.

Don’t let a little ding hold you back from catching those waves. With this easy DIY repair method using Solar Rez, you’ll be back on your board in no time.
