Meet Randi, our new Lead Sales Person

Originally from Canada, Randi has lived all over the world before settling in Cornwall with her husband. Surfing first came into her life in New Zealand, and since then it has been a constant source of energy, adventure, and community. Now she gets to combine her love of surfing with helping women book their dream surf trips.

Randi

1. What’s lighting you up right now?

Right now it’s all the energy around our Women + Waves trips. Barbados and Costa Rica are coming up, and it’s so exciting to see the weekend groups grow and progress. If you are looking to refine your skills closer to home, our Newquay Intermediate Surfer Programme is perfect for levelling up.

2. What music are you listening to right now?

I’m still buzzing from seeing Groove Armada live at Lusty Glaze – I’ve basically had them on repeat ever since. Proper summer vibes.

3. What’s the most intriguing book or article you’re diving into?

I’m not deep into a novel at the moment, but I’ve been reading a lot around mindset and surf psychology. It’s super interesting for both surfing and life in general.

Randi (in the cool new Rip Curl zebra stripe wetsuit) helps our guest Rosie catch a wave on our Cornwall Surf Camp for Women.

4. Which podcast has you hooked?

I’m a total true crime addict – I love getting into the stories and details. It’s definitely my guilty pleasure.

5. What’s the coolest thing you’ve watched this week?

I’ve started binging Platonic, the series produced by Seth Rogen, and it’s hilarious. Exactly the kind of light-hearted thing you need after a long day.

6. Which app or gadget are you loving right now?

My Apple Watch – it just keeps my life in check.

7. Where have you surfed this year?

Mostly Cornwall – Fistral, Towan, all the usual spots, plus my local at St Agnes. I’m also heading to the Women + Waves Wales Weekend to check out the waves there.

8. If you could pack your board and go anywhere, where’s your dream surf destination for 2025?

Bali, 100%. I’ve been twice already and I just can’t get enough. Warm water, tropical waves, and amazing culture – it’s got my heart.
