Jodie BolandResort Director & Head Coach
Jodie is our Resort Director and Head Coach for all our Barbados Surf Camps. Born and bred on the island, Jodie has grown up surfing and enjoying the water. Jodie’s local knowledge is invaluable in guiding you to the best waves and best island hotspots during your stay. Jodie is also a practicing sports therapist and yoga teacher with over 15 years of experience, working on top athletes including Kelly Slater and Shaun White. With a deep love of the ocean, the human body, and holistic wellness, Jodie brings her sunshine spirit to every session, whether she’s guiding you into your first wave or helping you unravel a stubborn shoulder knot.

Chelsea RoettTrip Host
Chelsea discovered her dad’s fluorescent pink surfboard in their family garage aged 10 and has never looked back! Chelsea started surfing competitively two years later and has gone on to earn over 100 wins and claim more than 50 titles in her career on the international stage including representing Barbados in the Olympics! Her proudest moment was winning the APSPR Corona Pro in Puerto Rico, where both women and men claimed equal prize money. You’ll feel right at home with Chelsea as she helps guide you through the waves, sharing her knowledge of the island and its beaches that has been home to her family for generations. Chelsea is an ISA Level 2 Surf Coach and qualified Montessori Teacher and she brings all her experience to the waves to help you build confidence, skill and fun in the water. Chelsea not only co-hosts our Barbados Camps, she also leads all our trips to Costa Rica where she has been surfing and coaching for over a decade.
Accommodation
You’ll be staying at one of two large, self-catering apartments right on the beach at Freights Bay,hand-picked and tried and tested for safety, security and proximity to the surf – just steps away! Rooms are allocated based on booking order, with the largest rooms assigned to those who book first.
Itinerary
Please note, sometimes we need to be flexible as some activities will be weather and condition dependent – but don’t worry, we’ll always do our very best to ensure you get the very best out of the trip! All our surf days and suggested activities are completely optional – you can enjoy as much or as little as you desire. This is not a boot camp!
