22 Aug Women + Waves X Rip Curl Launch The New ‘Surf Collective Capsule’ Collection!

We are so excited to announce a brand new ‘SURF COLLECTIVE CAPSULE’ in partnership with Rip Curl!

Following on from the successful launch of our new and dynamic RIP CURL x WOMEN + WAVES surf academy in Cornwall in January 2022, Rip Curl continues to enhance its support for women surfers and its partnership with us, with an exciting new retail collection!

Over the last year, we’ve been working with the Rip Curl design team to develop a new women’s surf collection that will be unveiled in retail stores across the UK, France and Portugal for the summer.

The Rip Curl Europe designers took inspiration from Women + Waves to design a capsule of super stylish and fun products made of eco-cotton and fleece.

Just wait until you get your hands on this collection! It’s beautiful quality and comfort!

“We had great fun designing this mini-collection, taking inspiration from the 90s styles that we particularly love at Rip Curl, as used for our Surf Revival collection each season. We combined bright colours with organic quality materials and used logos with the Bold rounded font typical of this period. We love the concept and I cannot wait to see the reaction of women surfers”, explains Valérie Weiser, a designer at Rip Curl Women. 

Women + Waves Founder Rachel Murphy says “We met the Rip Curl design team in Hossegor back in March to see the collection, and we love the nod to the 90’s style and the bright colours. This comfortable, casual collection is sporty and stylish and perfect for beach days”

The Surf Collective collection is now available online here and in other surf retailers surf as the Rip Curl shop in Newquay!

And if that’s not enough, 3% of sales will go towards supporting Women + Waves by offering a life-changing surf experience to girls within our community’s care system!

If you’re in Newquay, Women + Waves will be in the spotlight with a display in the Rip Curl shop showing an image of our members s around the team dressed in the colours of the Surf Collective collection.

We are also hosting a launch party to celebrate the collection! The launch will take place on Friday 2nd September from 6pm at the Rip Curl store in Newquay. This will include pizza, drinks and music for the surf community to enjoy. Everyone is welcome!
